The Best Water Sources

The ideal water is living, structured, and mineral-rich. Where you are determines your options.

RankSourceRatingDescription
1Natural Spring WaterExcellentSourced from deep underground aquifers, filtered naturally by soil and rock. Balanced mineral profile, natural structure, clean energetic imprint.
2Deep Well or Underground WaterRegionalIn rural areas, it is rich in natural minerals and untouched by surface pollutants. Regular testing is essential, especially in agricultural zones.
3Quality Tap WaterUpgradeIn Switzerland, Austria and Scandinavia, tap water is often safe with basic filtration. The opposite is true in most of the world.
4Filtered Tap WaterIdealCarbon, gravity, or multi-stage filtration greatly improves tap water. Removes chlorine and many contaminants. A good baseline for most households.
5Reverse Osmosis & DistilledRemineraliseRemoves virtually everything: contaminants and minerals alike. Results in 'empty' water that can leach electrolytes if consumed long-term. Always remineralise.
6RainwaterSituationalCan be pure in rare remote clean-air environments. In other areas, often contains acidic compounds and air pollutants. Deuterium content is high regardless. Even as a supply water, should be roughly filtered.

How to Filter

Filtration Systems

The right filtration depends on your water source, location, and concerns. Always remineralise if using reverse osmosis.

Reverse Osmosis

Removes most contaminants including heavy metals and fluoride. Always remineralise after.

Carbon Block

Removes chlorine, VOCs, and organic chemicals effectively. Good everyday workhorse.

Ceramic

Physically blocks bacteria and sediment. Long-lasting and low-maintenance.

Charcoal / Shungite

Reduces chemicals and adds beneficial minerals back. Great for basic enhancement.

UV Light

Kills bacteria and viruses without chemicals, but does not remove heavy metals.

Ozone

Ozone molecules eliminate contaminants on contact. Often used therapeutically or in pools.

Multi-stage Systems

Combination of the above. Best practice for broad-spectrum protection.

Precipitation and sedimentation

Ionic minerals neutralize contaminants through ion exchange.

Structuring

Controversial opinion, but structured water does not "hold on" to toxins.

Preserve What You Have

Water Storage Guide

How you store water determines whether it retains its quality.

VesselRatingNotes
Glass: The Gold StandardBestBlue or violet glass is ideal. Miron violet glass creates a protective field and is excellent for long-term storage.
Copper VesselsGoodFrom Ayurvedic tradition. Imparts antimicrobial benefits and subtle mineralisation. Requires regular cleaning and caution, as it can cause copper toxicity.
Stainless SteelGoodDurable and clean. Good for bulk storage and travel. Use food-grade only.
Plastic: AvoidAvoidEven BPA-free plastics leach microplastics and endocrine disruptors over time, especially with heat or sunlight.
Storage Tips. Store between 4–20°C (39–68°F). Keep away from direct sunlight and electronics. Add a pinch of unrefined sea salt per litre for long-term storage. Place shungite or sun-charged quartz crystals in your storage container.
